FAQ

Questions, answered.

A practical starting point for organizations and students exploring funding.

Who do you work with?+

We support non-profits, charities, Indigenous-serving organizations, eligible businesses, and post-secondary students seeking funding. Student support covers undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and post-doctoral study.

What does grant consulting include?+

For organizations, services include opportunity research, proposal writing, budget planning, deadline tracking, application review, and post-award reporting. The scope is agreed before work begins.

Can you guarantee a grant or scholarship?+

No. Funders and institutions decide eligibility and awards independently. We research suitable opportunities and strengthen applications, but cannot promise admission or funding.

How do I know if my business qualifies for a Canadian grant?+

Eligibility depends on the specific program, your location, sector, legal structure, project, and eligible costs. Start with the funder’s current guidelines; programs and deadlines can change. We can review fit before you invest time in an application.

Do you write students’ essays?+

No. Students write their own statements and essays. We can help with outlines, structure, proofreading, and editorial feedback, while preserving the student’s authentic voice. We never impersonate applicants or submit false information.

How are student services priced?+

Student services are quoted in an individual service agreement. A 50% deposit is due on signing, with the balance due on final delivery or five business days before the application deadline. We do not take a percentage of student financial aid, scholarships, or bursaries.

How do I get started?+

Book a free consultation to discuss your goals. Download the appropriate intake form and arrange secure delivery with us before sending any sensitive personal or financial information.

Can I apply directly for Zar's Stars pro bono support?+

No. This service is exclusively for eligible students formally vetted and referred by The Haq Foundation through its Zar's Stars program. The Foundation manages referrals and any waitlist.
